NHS Shetland are looking for GP locum cover for their new Walk in Clinic starting from 24th August 2026 – 26th March 2027.
At this stage we are looking to fill the rota with ideally 4 weeks or more block bookings at a time.
Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 20:00 in Lerwick (the main town).
This is a relaxed role with less workload than general practice – NO admin, NO home visits, etc. A maximum of 20 patients per day (although it will likely be a lot less). An admin team will provide support and you will have protected breaks.
Benefits include travel reimbursed, accommodation provided, guaranteed 4 weeks of work (or more) offered and booked in advance.
Daily rate: £600 per day (paye) – £12k per month.
Shetland is a fantastic place to visit with excellent beaches, friendly people and always lots going on – an excellent opportunity for steady, nice locum work.
Essential Criteria
- GMC Registration
- Recent UK GP Experience
- Performers lists Scotland inclusion (I can help with application for this if you are on the England Performers list)
