Job Overview

To be a clinical specialist in the field of post‑operative nursing / operating department practice. This is a key role within the Trust with responsibility for the management of multiple areas of PACU, in addition to maintaining clinical input. The post holder will be a team leader and specialist in the PACU clinical area and will be responsible for providing clinical management, advice, support and teaching to all relevant personnel within the post‑operative environment. They will have responsibility for managing, leading, encouraging and directing the post‑operative team, to promote evidence‑based clinical practice, ensuring the provision of a high quality and cost‑effective service to patients and service users.

Responsibilities

Location

The main acute hospital site is in Guildford, with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh. Adult community health services are provided in homes across Guildford and Waverley.
