Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant – Infrastructure Team

We are looking for a Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant for our Infrastructure team to be based in Taunton, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Stakeholder Engagement team, you will collaborate with a small, successful, and welcoming team in Taunton. Your work will span the following workstreams: Stakeholder & Community Engagement, Consultation Delivery, and Social Research. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Organising and coordinating meetings with technical specialists and external stakeholders.
  • Logging actions and following up with colleagues to close actions.
  • Assisting with reporting, including digital platforms and research via social media channels.
  • Assisting with the production of consultation and event materials, working with our graphics team.
  • Attending and organising events (live and digital).
  • Assisting with data analysis (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Assisting with newsletters and other marketing and communications outputs.
  • Potentially managing digital engagement platforms such as Commonplace.

Qualifications

We value potential over past experience. Minimum requirements and desired attributes include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Geography, Journalism, Economics (or equivalent).
  • A keen interest in Stakeholder Engagement.
  • Persevering: staying composed in face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
  • Adapter: remaining calm in new and changing situations, switching between tasks flexibly.
  • Focused: concentrating on what matters, filtering distractions.
  • Collaborator: working effectively with diverse people, considering others’ perspectives.
  • Eager learner: learning from experiences and the world to anticipate situations.

Additional Requirements

  • Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.
  • Graduates are expected to work from the office four days per week.
