£45,000 per annum

The candidate will deliver a high quality, evidence‑based psychological service for males and females across both Acute and PICU settings at Priory Hospital Arnold, an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for individuals struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Undertake complex assessments and risk assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive formulations.
  • Deliver specialist individual and group treatments relevant to the service.
  • Provide clinical supervision for assistant psychologists.
  • Deliver reflective practice.
  • Develop and deliver training packages for staff of other disciplines.

Applicants should have excellent organisational ability and well‑developed interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form, and be able to work autonomously and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. An interest in conducting clinically relevant research would be helpful.

All applicants must be eligible for registration with the HCPC and be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check.

Desirable

Experience of working within Acute/PICU settings is desirable, although applications from newly qualified psychologists will be considered.
