Automation Engineer

Inside IR35 contract. Hybrid 3 days onsite.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner with product and technical stakeholders to identify and prioritise automation opportunities
  • Design, build, and maintain robust, high‑performance automation that replaces manual processes
  • Embed security by default—including secrets management, least‑privilege access, and vulnerability controls
  • Monitor automation in production and proactively optimise for scale, performance, and resilience
  • Build automation with automated testing to ensure reliability whenever it’s required
  • Take ownership of solutions, ensuring they are well‑documented, supportable, and fit for future growth

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience delivering Ansible‑based automation within Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
  • Proven ability to analyse complex processes and design pragmatic automation solutions
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a diverse, global team
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • A clear ownership mindset, with strong documentation and collaboration habits
