Senior TIC Engineer

GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. The TIC team manages and schedules Test, Inspection and Certification of lifting and working at height equipment, repairs, services, installs and supplies equipment to meet requirements. The Senior TIC Engineer is primarily site-based and will involve the inspection, function testing, repair and maintenance of lifting and working at height equipment. They will also conduct proof load testing of equipment such as runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs and lift shaft eyes, produce certification reports and provide details on failed items. Occasionally, the engineer will carry out site surveys and advise customers on correct selection and use of lifting equipment. The TIC team supports the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet, upskilling members of the team and providing bespoke solutions to lifting-based queries. The role requires extensive travel across the North of England but is flexible on candidate locations.

About You

  • Significant experience in the lifting equipment industry with excellent product knowledge
  • Multiple LEEA qualifications, including advanced programmes such as Runways & Crane Structures and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes
  • Manufacturer & Industry Training (CSCS, IPAF, Confined Space, Working at Height, PASMA, etc.)
  • Competent in accordance with LOLER
  • IT literate
  • Valid driving licence
