Manufacturing Engineer

Scotland’s confectionery brand leader requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer for day‑to‑day, hands‑on factory floor maintenance work.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant Mechanical discipline, or equivalent experience sufficient to diagnose faults, repair and fine‑tune mechanical equipment.
• Experience working within a high‑pressure manufacturing environment.
• Qualified to the 17th Edition IET Electrical Regulations.
• Relevant experience with steam boilers, compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors and weighing equipment.
• Machine shop expertise including turning, milling, drilling, tapping, helicoiling, pipe‑fitting and plumbing.
• Fabrication experience involving folding, welding, cutting, and forming a variety of different materials.
• Demonstrated experience driving equipment process improvements within a food manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on engineer with a “can‑do” attitude and a desire to understand and improve the manufacturing process.
