Responsibilities

  • Line ownership with responsibilities for key KPI including Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost.
  • Lead the introduction of new products and processes (NPI).
  • Conduct problem solving and hold Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Managing safety, quality and process improvements on an assembly line.
  • Identify, define and implement process quality and process design steps in line with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Identify, purchase and co‑ordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery and capital expenditure projects.
  • Ensure that Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles are applied through the product development process.
  • Ensure new product and process implementations meet safety requirements.
  • Ensure accurate new product costing through Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy.
  • Co‑ordinate and implement complex engineering changes.

Qualifications

  • Judgment and Decision Making: knowledge of the decision‑making process; ability to evaluate emerging business situations and choose the best path forward.
  • Manufacturing Equipment: knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to operate, maintain, update and store them safely.
  • Manufacturing Processes: knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
  • Manufacturing Safety: knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work‑related hazards and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies; ability to guide and monitor compliance.
  • Problem Management Process – MFG: knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to resolve problems using a disciplined approach.
  • A degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices and/or APQP.
  • Experience with Assembly line balancing.
  • Experience leading RCCA investigations and implementing solutions.
  • Experience with SAP or another MRP/ERP system.
  • Experience in 3D CAD.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
