Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer specialising in Heavy Plant Equipment based in Leicester. Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
- Experience using SEE Electrical (or similar electrical CAD packages)
- Ability to read and produce electrical schematics
- Strong problem–solving and fault–finding skills
Knowledge of:
- PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen–Bradley)
- Motor control systems and drives
- Industrial automation and instrumentation
Desirable:
- Experience within heavy plant, quarrying, or process industries
- Exposure to SCADA systems and remote monitoring
- Experience supporting site commissioning or international projects
Roles & Responsibilities
- Producing control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Using SEE Electrical for electrical design and CAD work
- Programming and configuring PLC and automation systems
- Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues (on–site and remotely)
- Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
- Working closely with mechanical engineers and wider project teams
Designing electrical systems for
- Asphalt plants
- Crushing & screening systems
- Concrete batching plants
Requirements
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will also be expected to:
- Work with Project Managers to ensure designs are delivered on time
- Collaborate with other departments
