We are currently seeking a Machine Preparation Centre Engineer to join the team in Immingham.
This is a hands-on role focused on preparing, inspecting, and ensuring machinery is ready for delivery to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and machine preparation
- Fit attachments and extras including: Buckets, Guards, Couplers, Radios, Cameras
- Ensure all checks are completed in line with inspection and extras documentation
- Identify and report any additional work required
- Install software updates where applicable
- Accurately complete job records and input data in real time
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment
- Care for tools and equipment, reporting any defects
- Work in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Support team members and assist with training where required
- Attend training courses to maintain and develop technical skills
- Work overtime when necessary to meet business needs
About You
- Qualified in:
- HGV Mechanics
- NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds)
- Experience working with heavy plant machinery, including hydraulics and electrical systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
- Confident handling and operating heavy machinery
- Basic IT skills including systems, email, and technical documentation
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Welding experience would be advantageous
