Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Halifax for a Quarry Mechanical / Plant Maintenance Engineer. The role involves performing routine maintenance and inspections on quarry equipment to ensure optimal functionality, addressing mechanical issues, and implementing planned preventative maintenance. Other responsibilities include collaborating with the team to enhance operational efficiency, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools when necessary, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in conducting equipment inspections and identifying mechanical issues
- Knowledge of automotive systems and their integration with quarry machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience in the quarry or heavy industrial sector is an advantage
- Relevant certifications or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
