We are seeking a Facilities Management Consultant (FMC) to join our rapidly expanding Places business area, dedicated to creating sustainable environments where people live, work and thrive. As a key member of the Arcadis Asset Optimisation practice, you will support public and private sector clients by aligning property portfolios with organisational goals, transforming property from a cost centre into a strategic asset. This role offers long-term career development, structured support, and opportunities to contribute across a broad range of consultancy services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support across Asset Optimisation services, including PFI advisory (inc. handback), FM strategic advice, life‑cycle and backlog modelling, property asset management and portfolio mapping/strategy, TOTEX and whole‑life costing, benchmarking and compliance audits.
  • Assist senior practice members in delivering consultancy assignments such as strategic reviews and target operating model design.
  • Deliver supply‑chain and procurement advice and run benchmarking, value‑for‑money and performance reviews.
  • Support audits covering compliance, controls, assurance and governance.
  • Contribute to data analytics and cost‑modelling workstreams, including feasibility studies, estimates, cost plans and database development.
  • Provide contract advisory and review services, including PFI arrangements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience and knowledge in Facilities Management and whole‑life costing delivery.
  • Proven track record working with public sector clients (Health, Education, Local Authorities) alongside private sector exposure.
  • Qualified FM practitioner or full membership of IWFM, RICS or another relevant professional body.
  • Experience working within multi‑disciplinary teams and supporting major programmes or portfolios.
