Job Description

The Project Manager I (PM I) coordinates and manages client projects through all laboratory phases, from project set‑up and client communication to invoicing and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Review and set up projects in LIMS and Total Access.
  • Coordinate project kick‑off calls with clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate client information in LIMS and manage associated documentation.
  • Communicate analytical issues and project progress to clients.
  • Prepare and distribute client‑specific reports, ensuring correct format and data quality.
  • Oversee invoicing, billing, and collections, including preparing credit/debit memos.
  • Liaise with operations, QA, and subcontractors to schedule work and confirm capacity.
  • Maintain client records, including terms, credit limits, and account status.
  • Identify and engage external lab partners and subcontractors as needed.
  • Provide technical support and resolve client queries and complaints.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of environmental project management experience.
  • Client‑relationship and customer‑service experience.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and experience with LIMS.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Full‑time availability Monday‑Friday, first shift.
  • Live within a commutable distance to Portsmouth, NH.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction.
