As our next Sales Operations Lead, you will own the operational infrastructure that powers Checkatrade's trade acquisition and activation engine. This isn't a traditional Sales Ops role — Sales Ops at Checkatrade sits at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Finance, and Product, ensuring every team involved in generating revenue is aligned, data-informed, and operationally excellent.

You’ll shape how we attract, qualify, convert, onboard, and upgrade tradespeople across our membership tiers and new products. SalesOps at a two-sided marketplace is different — you'll be optimising the supply side, balancing acquisition volume with quality, and supporting a sales team that sells to tradespeople who are simultaneously our product and our customers.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role with a direct line of sight to revenue outcomes and a seat at the table in commercial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Technology & Systems Strategy: Support with the revenue tech stack strategy (Salesforce, Gong, Clay and supporting tools), ensuring it scales with Checkatrade's growth and supports a unified view of the trader journey from lead to activated member.
  • Revenue Intelligence & Forecasting: Build and maintain a revenue analytics framework tracking pipeline health, conversion rates, revenue. Also own the sales forecasting model — combining pipeline coverage, deal velocity, win rates, and seasonal patterns to deliver reliable revenue predictions.
  • Process Architecture & GTM Operations: Map, document, and continuously improve end-to-end processes from lead assignment and qualification through to close, onboarding, and first campaign activation. Also identify bottlenecks in the sales workflow and design scalable solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Finance and Product — ensuring teams operate from shared definitions, data and goals.

Qualifications

  • Breadth of experience in RevOps/SalesOps, Consulting or a similar strategic operational role.
  • Strong Salesforce proficiency — comfortable building reports, dashboards, and flows, with a good understanding of declarative capabilities and data architecture.
  • SQL or equivalent data querying skills — able to self‑serve data beyond pre‑built reports.
  • An analytical mindset with proven ability to translate data into actionable, commercial recommendations.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) for defining metrics frameworks and building self‑serve reporting.
  • Experience designing and documenting sales or revenue processes end-to-end.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus
  • Health, well‑being and learning support
  • Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme
  • Birthday/Special day leave
  • Buy & sell holiday scheme
  • 1 week’s paid charity leave and much more!

If this sounds like the place where you can do your best work, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t tick every box.
