Role Overview
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Research Assistant or Post‑Doctoral Research Associate with a strong interest in Circular Economy, Robotics, AI and vision systems, sustainability, remanufacturing and recycling. The role involves developing a circular approach to the design, use, and end‑of‑life management of industrial robots.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a circular economy framework for disassembly, refurbishment, remanufacturing, or material recycling of end‑of‑life industrial robots.
- Develop AI‑based life cycle assessment (LCA) and life cycle costing (LCC) models to support the framework.
- Collaborate closely with the project research team and industrial partners.
- Assist in disseminating research findings and developing new learning opportunities.
- Travel to national and international partners for project visits lasting 1–3 weeks.
Qualifications
- BSc, MSc or PhD (or equivalent) in mechanical, manufacturing, electronics, robotic control engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong interest and knowledge in Circular Economy, Robotics, AI, vision systems, sustainability, remanufacturing or recycling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
