Position Summary
The Debt Capital Markets (“DCM”) group at TD Securities is hiring an Associate on the International Corporate Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets Origination team. This role provides exposure to client‑facing opportunities and coverage/transaction experience in a fast‑paced trading floor environment.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior DCM Origination Officers in pitching and covering TD’s clients globally and identify funding needs and strategic opportunities across various currencies.
- Put together weekly new‑issue pricing, monitor and communicate relevant market activity to clients, construct presentations for meetings, and maintain deal databases.
- Establish deep knowledge of global bond markets, identify trends, and originate unique ideas (acquisition financing, liability management, structured transactions).
- Play integral role in the deal cycle from beginning to end including taking ownership of pitches, deal documentation, sales memos, marketing, due diligence, execution, pricing, and settlement.
- Coordinate with various groups within TD: Syndicate, Sales and Trading, Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Market Risk Solutions, Global DCM teams, Equity Capital Markets, Loan Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, etc.
- Understand and comply with TD Securities’ Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and timely.
- Leverage market data, economic information and key industry developments to assist in maximizing profitability through sound business decisions; develop and maintain contacts with market participants; support syndicate operating in supplying market information to partners within the Global DCM group.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience within Debt Capital Markets or a similar group (Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate or Derivatives).
- Strong references.

- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong writing skills: clear and succinct in long‑form and presentation formats.
