Work Type: Contract – Initial 6 Months (Inside IR35)
Introduction
We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support a large-scale Digital Transformation programme for our client based in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned PMO professional with strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience working within technology-driven environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving PMO governance, programme reporting, RAID management, and delivery coordination across multiple workstreams, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams including DevOps engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage PMO activities across ongoing digital transformation initiatives
- Oversee governance, reporting, planning, and programme controls
- Manage and maintain RAID logs, ensuring risks and issues are tracked and mitigated effectively
- Coordinate cross‑functional delivery activities across technical and business teams
- Engage with senior stakeholders to provide clear programme visibility and status reporting
- Support resource planning, dependencies, and delivery timelines
- Ensure PMO best practices, standards, and processes are consistently applied
- Manage and mentor PMO team members where required
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within PMO functions
- Proven experience managing sizeable PMO teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Previous experience working alongside technical teams, ideally DevOps engineers
- Strong expertise in RAID log management and programme governance
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced delivery environments
- Experience within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Familiarity with project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar
- Previous experience within enterprise IT or technology transformation programmes
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid working model – 2 days per week on-site in Exeter
- Initial 6-month contract
- Inside IR35
