Job Overview
Off Site Operations Delivery Lead – Contract role, immediate start, up to December 2026 (extension possible). Pay rate up to £275 per day (PAYE, Umbrella options available). Location: Hinkley Point. Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days.
The Off‑Site Delivery Lead reports directly to the Construction Support Services Passenger Transport Service Manager and deputises for that manager when absent. The role is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of HPC’s Associated Development (AD) Sites, parking allocation and enforcement, including Park and Rides, Passenger Transport Operations, Parking and Fly‑Parking administration and control.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical input and advice across the scope of work and may be involved in all stages of procurement, planning, implementation and operation of key contract areas.
- Act as the Project Point of Contact and local authority liaison for control and removal of GRT community incursions across the HPC AD site portfolio.
- Develop, review and update safety and standard operating procedures, policies and strategies for all AD sites.
- Prepare detailed specifications to support procurement and implementation of infrastructure or real‑estate changes.
- Ensure safe and sufficient facilities for Tier 1 contract partner staff to enable safe travel to and from the main HPC construction site.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all AD site matters related to Passenger Transport and Parking activity.
- Conduct planned and reactive monthly Health and Safety and Engagement inspections and meetings.
- Undertake emergent tasks directed by the Passenger Transport Service Manager.
- Manage day‑to‑day provision of critical site support services to a workforce of ~16,000.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and site H&S controls, and all operational procedures.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with service contract partners and champions, and promote Core Project Values.
- Ensure contract partner teams are competent; report shortfalls to the Service Manager promptly.
- Develop and implement plans to meet or exceed service delivery requirements and project schedules.
- Prevent escalation of issues through early intervention and a collaborative, one‑team approach.
Qualifications
- Recent and relevant in‑depth knowledge and experience in a Service Supply environment.
- Management or leadership experience in a service‑led environment.
- Experience working within a controlled access, high‑security environment.
- Confidence and ability to deliver a positive effect in a dynamic, fluctuating environment.
- Willingness to learn from personal and team experiences.
- Proven technical experience within large project environments, demonstrating Logistics and Facilities Management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Comfortable working with local supply chain partners in a cooperative manner.
Desirable
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
- Experience working with, and developing, budgets.
- Recognised and certificated Behavioural Safety Programme; recent IOSH accreditation or equivalent.
- Results‑oriented, team player, capable of managing emergency issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
