Housing Services are looking for an enthusiastic individual to supervise the Business Support Team. The post holder will provide comprehensive business support to services across the department and be responsible for directly managing the Housing Business Support team. They will also work closely with senior officer to ensure our purchasing, contract and invoice management processes adhere to council-wide processes and procedures in relation to financial management and delivering best value.
Hybrid employees are considered workplace based first, but they will have a level of flexibility to work from home up to 40% of their working week, if it is not to the detriment of their current tasks, team requirements or service needs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and directly manage the Housing Business Support team.
- Provide comprehensive business support to services across the department.
- Work closely with senior officer to ensure purchasing, contract and invoice management processes comply with council-wide procedures and financial management standards.
- Support best value delivery through effective financial process oversight.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Experience working with managers at all levels to deliver effective business support.
