Role Overview

Our client is seeking a hands‑on C++ Production Support Engineer (Level 3) to support and enhance a legacy Treasury platform within a high‑performance financial environment. This role blends short‑term technical remediation work on a mature C++ codebase with longer‑term production support and platform integration responsibilities across internal systems.

  • Address technical debt and collaborate with development teams to improve code quality and stability
  • Provide L3 production support including incident resolution, monitoring, and operational runbook execution (e.g., onboarding, DB updates)
  • Support platform stability and transition to a distributed support model
  • Integrate platform workflows into internal tooling (monitoring, scheduling systems)
  • Monitor system performance and ensure platform reliability
  • Cross‑train on internal platforms and contribute to broader support requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience with C++ (debugging, code analysis, fixes)
  • Proven experience in production support environments (incident handling, runbooks, operations)
  • Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems (Solaris exposure desirable)
  • Ability to work independently in a high‑ownership, low‑supervision environment
  • Experience within financial services, particularly treasury or trading platforms
  • Exposure to legacy systems modernisation and technical remediation
  • Familiarity with scripting or query‑based systems
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal tools and platforms
