Overview

Bedford Borough Council are currently recruiting for a Civil Enforcement Officer on a full time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective enforcement of parking regulations within on‑street areas of the Borough and car parks.
  • Promote good relations with the community and represent the Council professionally at all times.
  • Carry out school enforcement patrols in the mornings and afternoons daily.
  • Complete a two‑shift rota including early and late shifts, working 5 out of 7 days per week with some weekends and Bank Holidays.

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Early Shift: 06:45 – 15:09
  • Late Shift: 10:45 – 19:09
  • One week early shift, following week late shift.
  • Each shift includes a 1‑hour lunch break.
  • A full uniform including footwear and PPE is supplied.
  • After training, assigned to an area of the town to patrol.
