We are looking for a Learning Support Facilitator SEMH to join us at Tameside College, starting 17th August 2026.
Responsibilities
Provide a range of support to learners with a variety of needs including difficulties/disabilities, literacy, numeracy, and language. Offer emotional support and encourage participation, and may support learners with personal care needs. Support learners across a wide range of vocational subjects and may be required to work at more than one of the college’s centres. Work alongside classroom tutors to break down barriers and ensure learners can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Ensure individual learner needs are met and contribute to raising awareness and understanding of learners’ needs in the wider college community.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in supporting young people with diverse learning needs. Sound understanding of social, emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Ability to motivate students, strong interpersonal skills, calm demeanor, and a problem‑solving approach to challenging situations.
