As a Thermal Insulation Apprentice, you will be responsible for aiding the insulation team in carrying out insulation duties, ensuring the company's insulation operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in line with our client requirements in order to gain an industry recognised qualification.
As a KAEFER Thermal Insulation apprentice you will be required to attend college in 2‑week block intervals whilst gaining Level 2, with the option to proceed to Level 3 Apprentice standard for Commercial Thermal Insulation Technician, which includes Functional Skills L2 in Maths and English if L4 GCSEs not gained, Employer Rights and Responsibilities, PASMA and Asbestos Awareness.

- Applying sheet metal and various finishes to pipework and ductwork
- Fabricating cladding materials
- Identification of risks
What You Will Bring
- Due to site HSE requirements you must be 18 or over
- Full driving licence is essential
- Ideally you will be based within 20 miles of Barry
- You will be adaptable to change and show resilience in your ability to deal with any challenges that may arise.
- You will have enthusiasm, reliability, willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.
- You will show proactive thinking with the ability to identify resources and solutions when faced with a challenge.
- Being organised and meticulous with the ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation and time‑management skills would be an advantage.
