Role
Our client is a leading renewable energy business that develops, owns and operates a large portfolio of grid‑scale renewable energy assets across the UK.
They are looking to recruit an Associate Asset Manager to manage a number of solar assets by ensuring best practice for HSE performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all applicable contractual agreements.
Responsibilities
- Management of the contracts of the SPVs
- Ensure that all assets are in compliance with statutory requirements for HSE performance, local planning authority requirements, grid company connection conditions and power purchase agreements
- Optimise project performance
- Monitor contractor performance during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure all contracted SLA’s are met or improved; review and enhance maintenance strategies to reduce downtime
- Review regular and other reporting provided by contractors and ensure any issues are being suitably addressed
- Direct supervision of sub‑contractors or oversee the work of management contractors where required
- Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses and troubleshooting activities with support from the Asset Engineer
- Prepare regular asset management reports on each asset
- Maintain and develop management tools, including operating plans, asset registers and other necessary tools
- Maintain data security and confidentiality
- Provide information to the Portfolio and Investments teams and attend regular meetings with these teams
- Liaise with O&M contractors regarding contractual enforcement – including regular calls with those on company sites
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in solar farm asset management activities
- Experience with remote monitoring systems on plant and equipment (preferably solar)
- Interpretation of mechanical/electrical engineering drawings, work instructions and design reviews
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, visual basic)
- Full UK driver’s licence
