Job Title: Senior Principal Auditor – Market & Valuation Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk.

Group Audit (GA) serves as Deutsche Bank’s independent Third Line of Defense, proactively assisting the bank’s business and infrastructure areas to identify control weaknesses. GA is seeking a Senior Principal Auditor to join the Market & Valuation Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk team. You will report directly to the Principal Audit Manager (PAM) for Market & Valuation Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk and be responsible for timely delivery of high-quality, value‑added audit reports and meeting the requirements of the Deutsche Bank Board and of respective regulators.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver global complex regulatory and risk‑based audits related to market risk, valuation risk and counterparty credit risk, in line with GA methodology and requirements. This includes audit planning, fieldwork and reporting activities.
- Perform annual risk assessment and continuous monitoring activities for the assigned areas.
- Perform finding validation on material regulatory and internal findings and provide support to members in the finding validation teams on lower severity findings.
- Proactively develop and maintain professional consultative working relationships within GA and with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare materials for regulatory meetings.
- Provide informal coaching to other team members (e.g. to aid with product/regulatory/product knowledge). Identify opportunities to improve collaboration across GA.
Your Skills And Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., mathematics, finance, economics, statistics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Risk‑related professional qualifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA, etc.); CIA would be an advantage.
- Experience in market risk, valuation risk and counterparty credit risk, either obtained in second‑line or in internal audit function.
- In‑depth knowledge on key market risk, valuation risk and counterparty credit risk topics (e.g., FRTB, Prudent Valuation, IPV, FVA, xVA, IMM, Uncleared Margin, market risk management, etc.).
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi‑task, team‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Independent in judgment with the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism.
