About the Role

Join Ipsos Understanding Unlimited as a Research Manager, where you'll lead the delivery of high-quality research projects for top-tier clients. You'll navigate the complex landscape of consumer behavior, combining qualitative techniques with advanced AI and predictive analytics. As part of a dynamic team, you'll manage exciting projects from conception to completion, working closely with expert colleagues to provide strategic insights that drive business success. With a hybrid approach, your role will span across cutting-edge methodologies, adapting to diverse client needs and industry demands.

About You

The Research Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional research solutions to our clients. As a strategic thinker and client champion, you will lead research projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that address client objectives and drive business impact.

  • Genuine interest in the FMCG space
  • Experience working across projects involving workshops and co‑creation
  • A strong interest in brands, innovation and culture
  • Enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, and able to juggle the needs and responsibilities of multiple projects in parallel
  • Strong understanding of qualitative research methodologies and a passion for delivering insightful results with experience in managing projects and client relationships
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing materials for clients
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing impactful deliverables, such as reports.
  • Comfortable conducting a range of methodologies including online, community management, quantitative design and more traditional F2F methods – the role will sometimes involve the need for domestic travel within the UK
  • An understanding of quantitative research with current experience or a desire to build core craft skills
  • Experience of running long‑term communities (qual only or qual / quant)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, being a quick learner and very detail‑oriented.
  • Commercial awareness: experience in proactively managing finances on projects and ensuring project profitability.
  • Contribution to revenue generation, through writing proposals and developing client accounts.
  • Proficient in analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of core AI and machine learning concepts in research, such as predictive modelling and sentiment analysis.
  • Experience in AI qual i.e. modbots, would be ideal
