Role
Team Manager in the Family Help & Safeguarding Team, reporting to the Service Lead for Family Help & Family Safeguarding. The Manager is responsible for the operational management and leadership of the team.
Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating a team of dedicated professionals to deliver high‑quality services to children and families.
- Ensuring effective safeguarding of children through the management of comprehensive assessments and intervention plans.
- Overseeing the delivery of family help services, promoting positive outcomes and sustainable change for families.
- Working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure coordinated support for children and families.
- Contributing to the overall strategic development of children’s services within the Council.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience working within children’s services, with a strong background in safeguarding and family support.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families and professionals.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory requirements and best practice in children’s services.
