Senior Internal Auditor

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)

Reporting into the Internal Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will provide assurance through conducting risk based audit reviews across the Society, in line with the Internal Audit plan agreed with the Audit Committee.

What the role will look like:

  • Undertake audit reviews, and other ad‑hoc assignments, as directed by the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Undertake project related reviews as required including attending project / steering groups where appropriate.
  • Maintain a strong and open dialogue with audit management and other key stakeholders including: regularly updating senior management of control issues and trends; and making practical recommendations.
  • Produce formal written reports for Senior Management and other key stakeholders.
  • Complete planned work within specified target dates, and to agreed departmental standards.

  • Strong audit experience preferably in Internal Audit within Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of risk‑based audit techniques including change assurance and data analytics.
  • Technology audit experience desirable.
