Role summary
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial insight and supporting strategic initiatives. This position sits at the centre of commercial decision-making, combining financial analysis, KPI ownership and strategic planning support.
The role will support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes while providing meaningful analysis to drive performance and inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver periodic commercial reporting, providing clear insight and commentary to senior finance leadership and key stakeholders
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, including revenue, ARR, CAC and other commercial KPIs
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and long-range planning cycles
- Contribute to the development and ongoing refresh of the business' strategic plan
- Provide robust financial analysis and challenge to support decision-making across the business
- Partner with stakeholders to improve performance visibility and drive commercial outcomes
- Support investment appraisals and business cases for strategic initiatives
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support the wider Commercial Finance team
To Be Suitable
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience within commercial finance, FP&A or management accounting roles
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly
- Experience working with revenue metrics and business performance KPIs
- Confident communicator with experience engaging senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Strong commercial awareness and a forward-thinking mindset
