Debt Recovery Officer – Brent Council

Fox Morris Group are recruiting a Debt Recovery Officer to work mainly remotely with 1‑2 days a week in the office.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Recover and enforce collection of debts including Council Tax (NEC), Sundry (Oracle Advanced Collections) and any debt recovery portfolio managed within the Council.
2. Recover all debts efficiently and objectively, prioritising the Council's financial interests across all revenue and debt streams according to the Council's Debt Recovery policy.
3. Ensure that all debt collection complies with prevailing legislation, case law and local policy.

Essential Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written debt recovery negotiation skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Knowledge of delivering customer service in a very diverse environment.
• Knowledge of the debt recovery and enforcement process relating to county and/or magistrates' courts.
