Overview
We are seeking an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Wallasey Community Mental Health Team as an Advanced Practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Support a small caseload of adults with complex mental health needs within All Age Adult services.
- Conduct assessments and reviews, including complex safeguarding enquiries and duties under the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Participate in the AMHP rota and provide chairing support for meetings and court attendance.
- Provide formal supervision and mentorship to students, apprentices, ASYEs, and newly qualified staff.
- Deputise for the team manager as required and contribute to the wider management and care group team.
- Engage in project work and research initiatives aligned with professional interests.
Qualifications & Experience
- Approved Mental Health Professional with demonstrated experience in complex safeguarding and adult services.
- Good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and best interest decision‑making.
- Experience of mentoring or supervising others is desirable.
