Role Overview
We are recruiting a Research Contracts Manager (Clinical and Translational Research) within the University’s Research & Innovation department. The role is based within a busy, diverse and friendly Research Contracts team and provides specialist contractual support for clinical research activities, including interventional trials, observational studies and associated data arrangements, while also supporting translational research collaborations. The postholder will lead the negotiation and drafting of clinical trial agreements, investigator‑initiated and sponsor‑led studies, industry‑sponsored research and associated regulatory‑dependent contracts.
Key responsibilities include building productive relationships with stakeholders across Research & Innovation and the wider University, ensuring seamless support for academic staff, funders and collaborators, and providing advice on and interpretation of contract terms. The role also contributes to continuous improvement through the development and implementation of effective procedures and systems supporting research contracts and interfaces with other teams.
Work Arrangement
Full‑time (36.25 hours per week). A hybrid working arrangement is offered, with a blended approach of home and office working each week. Attendance on campus is required for certain days.
