Responsibilities
- Provide excellent nursing care in an acute thoracic ward setting.
- Take charge and actively participate in and contribute to ward/department management as skills develop.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
- Be part of the multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of care to thoracic surgical patients.
- Care for patients from the beginning of their surgical journey to discharge from the ward.
Qualifications and Experience
- Band 5 staff nurse
- Minimum 6 to 12 months experience in an acute healthcare setting; newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work independently with support to advance skills through mentorship programmes and clinical practice development initiatives.
