About the Role

The Becton Centre, one of the UK's largest providers of specialist Tier 4 CAMHS, is looking for a dedicated registered nurse to join our established team. The role involves delivering direct clinical care, assessing and planning nursing care, coordinating shift activities, and ensuring the needs of young people and their families are met. Reporting into the Clinical Nurse Manager, this position will include the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Advocate for children and young people in your care.
  • Assess, plan and implement care for young people in a Tier 4 setting.
  • Ensure interventions are carried out following Trust policies.
  • Coordinate shift activities and take responsibility as Care Coordinator or Named Nurse.
  • Provide support, mentorship, and clinical supervision to junior staff and students.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, policy development, and service improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and legible clinical records, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment for children, young people, and families.
  • Ensure the safe handling of client property and equipment.
  • Participate in audits, research, and the development of nursing practices.
  • Follow NMC registration standards and Trust guidelines in all aspects of practice.

We provide assessment, care, and treatment for young people with complex mental health, emotional, and behavioural challenges across three units: Emerald Lodge (up to 13 years), Sapphire Lodge (13-18), and Ruby Lodge (learning disabilities and mental health, up to 18).
