Job Role

To develop and deliver high-impact PR and communications strategies that enhance the charity's public image, raise awareness of its mission, and drive value from corporate and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead proactive PR and media relations efforts, identifying opportunities to secure top‑tier national and regional coverage.
  • Manage communication support for all corporate fundraising partners, including developing joint campaigns, creating pitch materials, and supporting partnership announcements.
  • Develop compelling, audience‑focused content, including press releases, news stories, website content, and social media posts, ensuring all messaging is consistent and on‑brand.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for media enquiries and support in preparing spokespeople (including trustees and senior staff) with briefing materials and talking points.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on media coverage and partnership communications performance to demonstrate ROI and inform continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including fundraising, marketing, and programme delivery, to ensure integrated campaign delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a PR, marketing, or communications role, ideally within the charity sector or a related field.
  • Significant experience in securing media coverage and managing press office functions.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and developing persuasive narratives.
  • Experience in the charity/non‑profit sector (beneficial).
  • Degree in Public /International Relations.
