Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global market leader in the manufacture of professional coffee machines as a Field Service Engineer. This role will cover the BICESTER and BIRMINGHAM areas along the M40. Excellent training and career opportunities are offered.

Pay: £32,000.00 to £36,000.00 plus overtime per year.

Duties

  • Install and set up coffee equipment on customer premises, making appropriate electrical, water and drain connections in compliance with legislation and company procedures.
  • Conduct demonstrations of the equipment at staff training sessions, covering safe use, beverage preparation and cleaning procedures.
  • Attend customer sites to carry out routine servicing on equipment and to perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs.
  • Assist customer insurance company surveyors in carrying out Pressure Boiler Inspections in line with Pressure Systems Regulations (PSSR 2000).
  • Assist in the development of modifications and fitting of upgraded components to standard equipment as required.
  • Accurately record all installation, service, and repair activities in company systems, reflecting completed work and components used.
  • Record chargeable calls, obtain customer signatures and verify work to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Maintain and replenish spare parts per company systems; ensure tools, test and installation equipment are well cared for.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy and service regularly.
  • Attend training when required and fully adhere to health, safety, fire and security procedures.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or a similar role.
  • Previous electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and adapt to frequently changing requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow company procedures and client specifications safely.
  • Capability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • A willingness to learn and attend training.
