Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 per annum (Permanent)
Role Overview
An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You will also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Controls work and electrical panel wiring
- Read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics
- Electrical installation of systems at client sites
- Testing and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipment
- Fault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operation
- Safe, competent use of power tools and hand tools
Required Experience / Skills
- Experience in controls and panel wiring
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Familiar with power tools and hand tools
- Strong fault‑finding mindset and a practical, safety‑first approach
Desired Experience
- PLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous)
- Commissioning of electrical panels and skids
- Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
