Redler Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) with experience in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, maintenance and bulk materials handling systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering company covering Scotland and the Borders region.
Salary: £38,000 per annum + paid overtime + benefits.
Location: Scotland (Candidates must live within Scotland).

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to join Redler Ltd, a leading materials handling and industrial engineering company supporting customers throughout Scotland and the Borders region.
As a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) you will carry out service inspections, maintenance, installations and repair work on customer sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Supported by highly experienced aftermarket, engineering and operations teams, the Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) will receive ongoing product training and development opportunities within a well-established and growing engineering business.
Duties
- Maintaining customer standards: Delivering exceptional customer service whilst ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Conducting service inspections: Visiting customer sites to assess equipment condition and produce detailed service reports.
- Managing installations: Leading equipment installations and supervising engineering teams to complete projects within agreed timescales.
- Ensuring site compliance: Obtaining permits and ensuring all site regulations and safety requirements are followed.
- Developing customer relationships: Building strong relationships with customers across Scotland and the Borders region to support business growth.
- Providing technical support: Offering technical advice, guidance and product support to customers.
- Maintaining accurate records: Completing service documentation, reports and maintenance records accurately.
- Delivering customer training: Training customers on the safe operation and maintenance of Redler equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement: Communicating technical feedback to engineering and technical support teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within a mechanical, industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with maintenance, installation, inspection and fault finding activities.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Competence using email and Microsoft Office systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Scotland and the Borders region.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
