Job Title
Founding Product Engineer: Growth & AI Systems
Salary
£80k-£100k + Equity
Company Description
Ascension VC‑backed AI logistics startup building a universal connectivity layer.
Job Description
You will architect an autonomous AI Outbound Engine using agentic workflows to capture Europe’s invisible logistics economy. Moving beyond simple prompts, you will build self‑healing automation that identifies and closes partnerships at machine scale. This role bridges the gap between GTM strategy and agentic code to drive high‑margin marketplace growth.
Location
London, UK or Warsaw, Poland
Why this role is remarkable
- Massive Traction: Join a startup that achieved a £35k MRR inflection in just 45 days following a strategic pivot to AI‑native orchestration.
- True Founding Impact: As a founding engineer, you own the entire “demand engine” architecture with a meaningful equity stake and direct influence on company trajectory.
- Unique Culture: Benefit from a high‑trust, low‑ego environment that values technical excellence and fun, featuring international team meetups in locations like Lisbon and Zakopane.
What You Will Do
- Architect proprietary agentic workflows using LLMs to automate lead research, personalized outreach, and early‑stage qualification.
- Design and deploy autonomous systems that enable regional carriers to acquire new shipment volume with zero manual intervention.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and CPTO to translate complex growth loops into production‑ready Python/FastAPI code and Azure infrastructure.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience building autonomous AI systems, moving beyond basic wrappers into multi‑step agentic loops, tool‑use (MCPs), and self‑healing automation.
- Strong background in systems engineering with a track record of building automated growth engines, scraping tools, or high‑volume outbound pipelines.
- Expert‑level Python skills (FastAPI preferred) and a product‑obsessed mindset that prioritizes shipping for market impact over technical perfection.
