Electrical Design Engineer Wanted – Immediate Start! Leicester | £40K-£45K (DOE) Permanent, Full‑Time

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer, specialising in Heavy Plant Equipment based in Leicester. Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
• Experience using SEE Electrical (or similar electrical CAD packages)
• Ability to read and produce electrical schematics
• Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills
• Knowledge of PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen‑Bradley), Motor control systems and drives, Industrial automation and instrumentation

Desirable:

• Experience within heavy plant, quarrying, or process industries
• Exposure to SCADA systems and remote monitoring
• Experience supporting site commissioning or international projects

Roles & Responsibilities

• Producing control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Using SEE Electrical for electrical design and CAD work
• Programming and configuring PLC and automation systems
• Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment
• Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues (on‑site and remotely)Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
• Working closely with mechanical engineers and wider project teams
• Designing electrical systems for Asphalt plants, Crushing & screening systems, Concrete batching plants

Additional Expectations

• Work with Project Managers to ensure designs are delivered on time
• Collaborate with other departments
