About The Role
We are hiring a hands‑on NetSuite Functional Lead to take end‑to‑end ownership of NetSuite’s functional design and operation. You will assume ownership from external system integrators and become the internal authority on how NetSuite should work—today and as we scale. Your mandate is to make NetSuite a clean, reliable system of record that integrates seamlessly with Nscale’s broader data ecosystem. This is a senior, high‑impact role for someone who simplifies complexity, makes clear decisions and is comfortable pushing back when necessary.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery from business requirements gathering through user testing and implementation; write and troubleshoot SuiteScript code; manage system integrations with Foundry, Ariba, Hexagon and OneStream; handle user management and administration; deliver custom functionality such as escalation paths and approval workflows; optimize NetSuite processes and configurations.
- Initially focus ~70 % on new functionality development, declining to 40‑50 % over time, with the remainder focused on fixing, simplifying, and adding integrations to existing systems.
- Work spans multiple finance streams including order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay and general finance operations.
NetSuite Functional Ownership
- Take end‑to‑end functional ownership of NetSuite across Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets), Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay and inventory/asset‑heavy operational processes.
- Be accountable for the clarity, reliability and scalability of NetSuite as Nscale’s core ERP.
- Own functional governance after go‑live to prevent ERP drift and uncontrolled customization and ensure NetSuite remains a clean, trusted and maintainable core system as Nscale scales.
Functional Design & Simplification
- Translate Nscale’s business model into simple, scalable NetSuite configurations that avoid unnecessary customization.
- Review, challenge and rationalise existing system integrator designs to remove complexity and technical debt.
- Define a minimum viable go‑live and a phased roadmap that supports rapid scaling without over‑engineering.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Act as the functional lead across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Data teams to align requirements and resolve trade‑offs.
- Drive consistent, well‑understood processes that balance business needs with system integrity.
ERP & Data Platform Integration
- Work closely with data and platform teams to define NetSuite’s role as a system of record within a broader data architecture.
- Help design clean, reliable data models for downstream use in Palantir Foundry.
- Make clear decisions on what functionality and data belong in NetSuite versus what should live in Foundry.
Go‑Live & Stabilisation
- Lead functional support for UAT, cutover and post‑go‑live stabilisation to ensure the system works in practice.
- Resolve functional issues decisively and help business users gain confidence in NetSuite.
About You (Skills / Qualifications)
- 7+ years of hands‑on NetSuite experience, including multiple full‑cycle implementations.
- Strong finance fundamentals with the ability to engage credibly with senior finance stakeholders.
- Experience in asset‑heavy, infrastructure or operationally complex environments.
- A proven ability to simplify designs and avoid unnecessary complexity.
- Confidence pushing back on system integrators, vendors and senior stakeholders when needed.
- A forward‑thinking mindset that sees ERP as part of a broader data and analytics architecture.
- Experience working alongside data platforms or analytics teams; curiosity about Palantir Foundry is a plus.
