Location: based in the London / Home Counties / Birmingham with South East coverage

An established environmental and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Consultant to support a growing portfolio of corporate and multi-site clients across the South East. The role is home-based but requires regular travel across London, the Home Counties and surrounding regions.

This position would suit someone coming from a consultancy or multi-client advisory background who is comfortable operating within corporate environments and engaging with stakeholders from operational through to executive level.

The role combines a strong Health & Safety focus with some environmental responsibilities, particularly around ISO systems, compliance and auditing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Health, Safety & Environmental consultancy support across a varied client base
  • Conduct risk assessments, compliance audits and site inspections
  • Support the implementation and improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Build strong relationships with clients across corporate and regulated environments
  • Provide practical, commercially focused HSE advice to clients
  • Support project delivery across both short-term and long-term consultancy engagements
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with wider consultancy teams on larger projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an EHS consultancy or multi-site corporate environment
  • Strong Health & Safety background with some environmental exposure
  • Experience working with corporate clients is essential
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ideally ISO 14001
  • Experience delivering audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
  • Experience across multi-site operations
