Positions

British University Vietnam (BUV) invites experienced candidates with international qualifications to apply for faculty positions in the Business School at the following levels:

  • Lecturers – Faculty with academic experience (with PhD)
  • Senior Lecturers – Faculty with academic and leadership experience (with PhD)

Salary will be aligned with appointment level and qualifications; Lecturer Track (PhD) salaries range from USD 65,000 to USD 125,000 per annum.

Position Requirements

  • A PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline from an internationally recognised institution.
  • University-level or postgraduate teaching experience in relevant fields, including experience teaching programmes delivered entirely in English.
  • A higher education teaching qualification, professional recognition, or accreditation, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
  • Demonstrated breadth and depth of specialist knowledge within the discipline, with the ability to develop teaching programmes and provide effective learning support.
  • Knowledge of higher education practices and the ability to apply a range of up-to-date teaching and learning methods to engage and inspire students.
  • In-depth expertise within a specialist area, enabling the development of new knowledge and understanding in the field.
  • Evidence of positive contributions and impact at programme or discipline level beyond individual teaching responsibilities.
  • Experience in teaching, curriculum development, quality assurance, and quality enhancement within a higher education environment.
  • Evidence of high-quality research publications or other relevant scholarly/professional outputs.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion issues, particularly as they relate to academic content and student support needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A clear police/criminal record.
  • Knowledge of and teaching experience in international and Vietnamese business law.
  • Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, dissertations, or theses.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural higher education environment.
  • Professional or industry experience relevant to the discipline area, with strong industry connections and networks.
  • Evidence of successful collaboration in research, curriculum innovation, or academic partnership projects.
  • Original certificates and degrees will be required upon arrival in Vietnam (degree and teaching certificates; CRB or other police checks) for work permit purposes.
