Residential Homes Manager
Oldham Local Authority Children’s Residential Service is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Residential Registered Manager to lead a team of residential workers and deliver high‑quality care in a new children’s home.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the new children’s home through opening stages and beyond, ensuring a nurturing residential setting.
- Lead and support a team of residential workers to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
- Deliver care that provides children with warm, nurturing and rich childhood experiences.
- Maintain regular supervision and participate in the Oldham extensive training package.
- Adhere to the Homes Statement of Purpose, Children Standards, Regulations 2015 and 2023, the Leaving Care Act 2000, and Oldham Council Policies and Procedures.
- Support the registration and ongoing development with Ofsted requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience working with and understanding children in a residential childcare setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding, promoting welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Strong leadership skills, capacity to manage a diverse workforce.
- Ability to obtain and maintain registration with Ofsted.
