Title: Learning Manager
Hours: 50% FTE
Salary: £34,132 FTE pro rata, i.e., £17,066 per month
Location: Oriel Science, 21-22 Castle Street, Swansea & work from home & occasional other locations
Contract: Fixed Term, 6 months (renewable)
Start Date: 1 August 2026

About the Role
Oriel Science is an educational charity that engages the public with STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths and Medicine). The Learning Manager will design and deliver inspiring workshops to school and home education groups, primarily at Key Stages 2 and 3.
Responsibilities
- Transform cutting‑edge research from universities and partner organisations into engaging, hands‑on learning experiences.
- Create curriculum‑linked workshop content aligned with the Welsh curriculum.
- Deliver sessions that are inclusive, interactive, and tailored to diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Build strong relationships with schools and partners, facilitating workshops for varied groups.
- Evaluate impact, maintain workshop resources, and contribute to new programme development.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all participants and maintain high quality learning experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Passion for science education and public engagement.
- Teaching experience and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with a commitment to inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
