Derivatives Lawyer | Senior Associate | London
MAP Legal is working with a leading international law firm seeking a talented derivatives lawyer to join its expanding London finance team.
This opportunity would suit a Common Law qualified solicitor with approximately 4+ years’ PQE gained at a recognised City or international practice. The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of derivatives matters and work closely with banking, finance and restructuring teams on complex transactions.
The role will involve:
- Drafting and negotiating derivatives documentation, including ISDA-related agreements and trade confirmations
- Advising on hedging arrangements linked to financing transactions
- Supporting structured finance and repo-related matters
- Providing practical and commercially focused legal advice across a variety of asset classes
- Managing matters directly with clients, financial institutions and counterparties
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong technical knowledge of derivatives and financial markets
- Experience handling transactions with a good level of autonomy
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach
- Confidence working in a fast-paced transactional environment
