Eventus Recruitment are seeking an Employment Lawyer to join a dynamic and growing commercial law firm in the Preston area. About the Job

As an Employment Lawyer, you will work closely with experienced partners and a well‑established team to provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to a wide range of employer clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice on contracts, staff handbooks and policies
  • Handling absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Managing redundancy and restructuring matters
  • TUPE transfers and employment aspects of business acquisitions
  • Tribunal case preparation and advocacy
  • Advising on collective issues including trade unions and negotiations
  • Providing day-to-day HR and strategic advice to clients

About You

This job would suit a confident and personable employment solicitor with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. You’ll be someone who enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues and is looking to build your career in a supportive, forward‑thinking law firm.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least 4 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Experience managing a mix of contentious and advisory employment matters
  • Clear and confident communication style, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach to client care and problem solving
  • The ability to prioritise a varied workload and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in employment law developments
