Haematology Registrar (ST3) Kettering General Hospital | University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group Fixed-Term (12 Months) Salary: NHS ST3 Equivalent Start Date: As soon as possible About the Role We are working with Kettering General Hospital to recruit an ST3 Locally Employed Doctor in Haematology to join a busy and supportive department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience across both clinical and laboratory haematology, working alongside a team of Consultants, Registrars, and junior doctors. Key Responsibilities Deliver clinical care across haematology inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and chemotherapy services Support the emergency assessment bay and acute admissions Gain experience in bone marrow biopsies and laboratory haematology Assist in the management of haematological and oncological emergencies Participate in clinical trials and research activity Contribute to teaching of junior doctors and medical students Engage in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives This role provides exposure to intensive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted cancer treatments, offering valuable experience for those considering a career in haematology. Essential Requirements Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise MRCP (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years’ experience in General Medicine Experience or strong interest in Haematology Ability to manage acute and complex patients Desirable Previous experience in clinical haematology Experience in teaching and training junior staff Involvement in research or audit Interest in pursuing specialist training in haematology Why Apply?
