Job Overview
Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its digital strategy with an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution, aiming to improve patient care and optimise clinical and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate change management across clinical and operational teams, embedding service and cultural change.
- Drive the roll‑out of OpenEyes Clinic Manager and manage rollout before full EPR go‑live.
- Engage teams through workshops, huddles, and communication to shape and validate future workflows.
- Assess change impacts, create training/support materials, and provide hands‑on floorwalking during go‑lives.
- Coordinate programme activities, track progress, manage risks/dependencies, and meet key milestones.
- Act as liaison between operational/clinical and digital/technical teams to ensure system design meets service needs.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, gather requirements, validate processes, and support design and delivery phases.
- Report dependencies, risks, and progress to programme leadership, ensuring transparency.
- Provide education and training opportunities to build change‑management capabilities across staff.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s level education or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Change Management Methodology (e.g., APMG Change Management Practitioner).
Experience
- Senior‑level experience leading complex service transformation and change projects.
- Experience working with stakeholders across multiple teams, services, and organisations.
- Experience communicating highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information to individuals and large groups.
- Strong knowledge of health‑service management, project management, change management, and redesign.
Personal Qualities
- Self‑motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to motivate others, identify, and manage resistance to change.
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills, including planning and organising a broad range of complex activities.
Employment conditions
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory DBS disclosure, and two references required.
