We are looking for a commercially driven and operationally strong leader to oversee our UK business operations, drive profitability, strengthen customer relationships, and lead high-performing teams across sales, logistics, customer service, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Profit & Loss responsibility for the UK business
- Drive commercial growth and expand the country customer base
- Deliver outstanding customer service aligned with global standards
- Oversee logistics and port operations across the country
- Lead financial performance, working capital management, and forecasting
- Strengthen collaboration with global and regional stakeholders
- Develop and execute country business development strategies
- Represent ZIM with local authorities and industry partners
- Lead teams toward ambitious KPIs, operational excellence, and market share growth
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the global shipping container industry
- Strong commercial and sales leadership background
- Previous experience as Country Manager, Managing Director, or Commercial senior leadership role in the UK market
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Advanced English
